Sarasota Livin'

Dinner at Marina Jacks on Sarasota Bay last night. We enjoyed the outside new dock seating area. This is one of the best views in the area. I have been watching the condo's on Golden Gate Point grow for the past year or two.



Why have people lived in cities for thousands of years? ... Well social scientists can study and theorize but one good reason is to enjoy sitting in a waterfront restaurant drinking beer with family / friends enjoying a wonderful view and lots of interesting things going on all around. It takes lots of strangers (tourists) to support a water front community like Sarasota. I am sure living in a small fishing town with shacks on the beach is very "real" but I like the amenities we have here and am willing to put up with the density and congestion we sometimes have to enjoy Sarasota.
