Well yes they are a fine looking group of Riverview Kiltie Band High School Seniors

Us big city folks may not think much about the "real world" so it's time to visit the County Fair and see the farm animals and home made goodness the kids work all year for.

Of course you can just go for the people watching and rides...

I was tired just riding my bike 1/4 of the route (maybe less) but it was beautiful sunny warm day in Sarasota and I really need much more exercise ...

It must be a long lonely road to run 26 miles ...

but the thrill of finishing must make it worth it.

Thursday night we attended the Winter Musical Showcase presented by the Music Department of Riverview High School. As always it was a great show.

Of course my favorite section is the Wind Ensemble. They are "the band" and play under the direction of the Director of Bands Mark Spreen

USF Sarasota has a great new campus. I was there for a grand opening and for "Brunch of the Bay" both were great events and show how USF is a real part of Sarasota.

The United Way is a pretty good agency and some people go out of their way to help...

Bozo the Bard brings clown culture to downtown...

Lots of people were looking at the clowns this morning while I was on my bike ride... not the crowds that "unconditional surrender" had but the season is early and the clowns just appeared... I bet they will be popular ... I think they are well done.

PS the bard is at the library -- where else !!
