Yes we were in India

I am just recovering from the trip back. We had a great time. I don't think India is for everyone but my family enjoyed it.

India is a land of huge contrasts. Rich and poor (the poorest I have ever seen) exist right next to each other. We saw a highend 5+ star hotel near the airport with people living under tarps at the main entrance.

But it is very unfair to only dwell on the poverty because India seems to be growing very fast ... business (all business) seemed to be thriving.

One sort of ironic thing... in Florida we are used to seeing the blue tarps used to cover homes from hurricane damage -- those same tarps are very popular in India also -- except it may be the only roof ... and no walls..

I have setup another website to document our family travels

I even have setup a demo ecommerce site ... please try to buy a picture and let me know if it works. At just a dollar ...

Hope all is well...

Tata is huge .... I was visiting a small company with only about 200 people there. But is was near some of the "big" companies had very large campuses and buses and buses to bring staff in from ??

Hi Joe,

Hi Joe,

Very intrigued by the people of India. Extremely gracious and intelligent people. I've been doing a lot of work with Tata, Polaris, and Cognizant consultants from India. Every day I'm baffled as to how committed these people are to producing high quality work. My company travels to India often, and I'm hoping to go soon.

Cheers..

sorry but you are pretty smart

.. yes India was very cool a totally different experience for me. I want to go anywhere .. yes I really like Sarasota but its a big world.

Awesome!

First, you expect me to do math tricks in order to post on your blog? That's harsh, man.

Secondly, how frickin' awesome is it that you went to India??? I am so jealous. I cannot travel enough. I actually spoke to someone the other day who said she never needs to leave this country. What a sad, sad statement. (After prodding, she did admit she would go to any English-speaking country, which was a start.)
