Happy New Year??

So happy new year and all of that … for many of us 2008 was not a “happy” year. It was the year my house lost more in value than I have ever had in cash and my 401K turned into one of those new fangled 201K's … but I am still pretty happy and enjoy life.

Since I have a few days off for the holidays and have been meaning to look at some pictures that I painted way long ago in my youth I just took digital photos of them and am going to post some on the blog. I have not even looked at these in many many years..

Believe it or not these are from the late seventies another time of economic uncertainty and as a matter of fact they were painted in Jacksonville – where I spent most of last month.

As I look at this one I see that I was in urban / farm mode then as I also am now. It's pretty crazy looking – I have never shown these to anyone before so I am “out there” more than normal. None of them ever got names and I have not painted since then. I want to start again I really enjoyed watercolors.
